For factories and businesses producing scrap metal waste, we offer a comprehensive service for skips and containers. We normally provide containers and skips free of charge, so whether you require a ‘one-off’ collection or on-site skips for regular exchange – please contact us.

We can arrange regular collections and deliveries of skips or containers to suit your business needs. Multi-site solutions are available.

We provide a regional service for smaller, regular collections and operate UK-wide for large salvage volumes.

We require a safe and secure area for the storage of the skip or container with a surface of concrete or other hard standing. The area must be secure from outside interference e.g. no permitted access to the public or children.

Any site should have good access for our lorries to safely manoeuvre.

J Watson and Sons operates it’s own fleet of chain and hook lift lorries together with a variety of de-mountable attachments.

Standard skip sizes of 10, 12 and 14 cubic yard volumes, which hold a maximum of 8 tons. Our container sizes are 20 to 45 cubic yards and hold a maximum of 16 tons.

We can offer lorry mounted crane and articulated lorry collections by arrangement.

All lifting operations are covered by LOLER plant certifications.

Heavy and Over-Sized Loads

We specialise in recovering and transporting heavy salvage and end-of-life vehicles, plant and machinery. We offer a range of transport services to suit most situations, from simple collections to fully project managed solutions as required.

For oversized or heavy loads which exceed the current weight-allowance for road lorries, we use specialised equipment. This equipment type, is often deployed for moving trains, site transformers or large aircraft components.

Heavy and Bulk Salvage Collections

Large salvage volumes or one-of-a-kind heavy site assets may require heavier or more specialised transport solutions.

Our fleet includes flatbeds (standard and articulated), lorry mounted cranes (HIAB), low loaders (with heavy winch) and articulated bulk salvage containers (60 + yard capacity with a maximum load of 24 tons).
